Perhaps one of the most iconic phenomenons in South Africa, originally touted “The Cape of Storms” by Bartolomeu Dias in 1448, Cape Point was used as a navigational landmark by day, and by night it claimed many-a-ship as a result of ferocious sea storms and unforgiving rocky waters.  The land boasts an extraordinary variety of fauna and flora, whilst the ocean and pristine penguin beaches offer guests a peaceful coastal sanctuary to let the mind free.

A day full of adventure, site seeing, coastal bliss and an exhilarating experience on the Flying Dutchman Funicular, Cape Point offers guests of all ages a generous list of activities to keep you and your convoy captivated for hours.  The Flying Dutchman Funicular is incredibly popular, transporting guests from the lower station, approximately 127 meters above sea level, to the upper station at 286 meters above sea level.

To complete the experience, we always enjoy taking our guests into Simonstown, a small coastal town renowned for fishing in it’s earlier days, for a light lunch and drink right on the harbours edge.
